Showering,
Nesting, Summertime-fun-ing
At 6
months, the bump has morphed into a small mountain. The baby --
a.k.a. MooShu owing to Shannon's early cuisine cravings -- is
still of unknown gender, and hopefully will remain so till he or
she arrives in the fall. So far, all seems to be well in utero.
The baby seems to enjoy the soothing effects Mama's daily hikes
and lap-swimming in the camp pool. Right about the time Shannon
hits the hay, MooShu is ready to play.

Active and
presumably content, MooShu has been rolling and thumping and
squirming up a storm. Three more months of this delightful state
of affairs.

In early July,
Shannon traveled back east for a baby shower and pool party
hosted by Julie and Genie. Here she shows off the hooded blanket
Grandma Genie crocheted to welcome the little squirt.

All the
hibiscus-bedecked beauties of the shower (plus a guest
appearance by Li'l Mo).

Jaimin cuddles the
adorable Aiden in a rare moment of of baby lucidity. Jaimin
became Aiden's mom on May 2, 2006. On this day, he is enjoying
his 2-month birthday.

Grandma Genie
shows off Aiden in his fancy new swim trunks. Or should we call
them swim trousers?

Shannon practices
soothing nephew Aiden. Julie and Grandpa Ken observe, but
graciously withhold unsolicited parenting advice.

Waiting for MooShu
to kick.

Every so often,
camp staff drop in for board games and general debauchery.
